At 18:15 on 26 June 2021 in the second round of our Captain’s Prize on the 16th hole at Grange Park CG in StHelens, I pulled my 718 CB 6 iron from my bag, pegged up my Pro V1x and hit my greatest ever shot. As I reached the green, in my mind, I heard Vern Lindquist shouting, “.... oh my goodness....oh wow, in your life, have you ever seen anything like that!” There was my ball sitting at the bottom of the hole. A dream come true. I almost pegged it up and hit it off the next tee but realised just in time to put it safely in my valuables pouch.
