My first hole in 1 took place at Goshen plantation golf club in Augusta Georgia. The hole was 189 yards long with around a 2 club wind into my face. I decided to play the hole as 210 yards thus making a 5 iron my club of choice. I hit the ball and looked at my playing partner and said “buddy I can not hit a ball any better than that” then assuming it would be about 5-10 foot short because that’s about where it landed, once I was getting ready to put my club in the bag I saw the little white dot disappear. The group on the 5th tee alerted us that it was indeed a hole in 1. I can also confirm that the titleist pro v 1 that was used has been retired.
