I haven't had or been close to an ace since my first at Woburn on the 16th (Duchess course) in the mid-nineties so this made my day, week and year! Two friends (Lee & James) and I booked a late break to the wondeful links courses in Northern Ireland earlier this December. Having played Royal Portrush and Portstewart, our last round was at the Mussenden links at Castlerock GC. I played the best round of my golfing year carding a gross 76, 3 over par, which included my second lifetime hole in one on the 177 yard 14th hole. One of the best shots I have ever hit, pure strike into a strong left to right headwind. One bounce on the green, approx. 15 ft from the stick, then rolled up to the hole and dropped straight in!
