I’m 29 years old and I’ve been playing golf for well over 20 years. My whole life I’ve had to listen to other people who had been playing for way shorter tell me about their hole in ones. Finally on April 22nd, 2022 while on a bachelor trip with my friends I had my first hole in one. It was a short 130 yard hole but was only playing around 101 that day. I hit a PW about 20 feet right of the hole on a big slope in the green. It rolled left down the hill, hit the stick and dropped in. We had two tee times back to back, and the other group had just finished the hole, so all 8 of us were able to celebrate together. We took pictures and celebrated and I moved on to the next hole. It was a par 4, dog leg left with the largest lake you’ve ever seen on the left side. I step up to the tee with the honors with no care in the world. I just got my first ace, I could shoot 120 for the rest of the round and not care. But I absolutely stripped my drive right down the middle, didn’t even sniff the water. I drove down the fairway pulled up next to the ball and looked down, my heart sank. I hit the hole in one ball off the tee!! I was horrified. I snatched it up as fast as I could and replaced it with a new ProV. I had never had a hole in one before, I just didn’t even think about how I’m supposed to save the ball lol. What if I hit it in the water? It would’ve been devastating. I hit my second shot with the new ball into the right bunker, then bladed my third shot into the swamp haha. If I didn’t switch the ball out, it would have been gone. Luckily the ball made it home and is ready to be framed.
