After 50 years of playing golf my dreams of getting a hole in one finally came true yesterday 1 May 2025.

Playing on a perfect golfing day at my home club Eaton Golf Club in Chester, I tee'd up a six iron on the par 3 4th hole from the White tees in the Seniors Championship, I struck the ball on a high flighted soft draw trajectory, it that landed on the green rolling gently towards the flagstick and then disappeared. I was elated and received congratulations from my playing partners and other players on the course.

When I returned to the clubhouse it was great to see the sign on the bar offering more congratulations and a bottle of whisky for all to share in my momentous occasion.
