  1. On Tuesday May 6, 2025 I (Greg 64 yrs old) played golf with my younger brother (Michael 56 yrs old). I have witnessed two hole in ones but never had one. Michael has never seen or had one.

On the 6th hole (158yds) Arrowhead G.C. Wheaton, Illinois), Michael hit a gorgeous draw with a 6 iron (Titleist T300) that went into the cup.

He was excited, but in my opinion, not nearly to the level this historic occurrence requires. Granted, I play 20 times more often than he does and have dozens of friends that have enjoyed this thrill.

Friends (who know how much golf I play and practice) say things like…

“You don’t have one? Are you sure? Or. “You should get one, they’re nice.” Or “Let me tell you about my 3rd hole in one, it’s an interesting story.”

My brother on the other hand, never thinks about it, plays golf once a month, and rarely breaks 100.

So we celebrated after the round and talked about the percentages of a hole in one in relation to being struck by lightning. I went home VERY HAPPY for him, but once again wondering about if I would EVER be admitted into this exclusive club.

Two days later, May 8, 2025 at the same course (138yds) I hit a gorgeous draw a 9 iron (Titleist T200) that went into the cup!!!

Needless to say, I celebrated appropriately.

Two brothers. Two hole in ones. Two days apart.
