  1. At the 58th Invitational Golf Tournament held annually at Buck Hill Falls Golf Club, Paul Dewey (that's me), son of tournament co-founder, Carpenter Dewey, aced #7 White on Saturday, May 17. I was playing with Mark Cortese, William Dossett and Jeff Conn. I hit a 9 iron which flew to the pin, 137 yards from the White tee box, bounced twice and rolled in the hole. Chaos ensued. This was my first ace of my 56-year golfing career. Head rush extraordinaire. Mine is the first ace ever recorded at this annual tournament which my father started playing on the weekend of Mother's Day in 1968. The players' wives used to call him all sorts of unspeakable things for taking their husbands away on Mother's Day when the tournament was in its 'youth', but by the time the gents hit their late 60's the wives would call to ask my father if he would take them for a week.
