This is a surreal moment for any golfer to have a hole-in-one, many of my buddies have played for 40+ years and have never seen had the experience. I got my 4th hole-in-one on 5/14 and then 11 days later on 5/25 I got my 5th.
The fourth par 3 was 150 yards with 9mph front wind, I would have used a 9 iron, but i decided to go with an 8 iron. One bounce and into the cup. I thought it flew the green, but everyone else said it just disappeared, they were right, I found it at the bottom of the cup. It was just a year ago I got my 3rd, almost to the date.
The fifth hole-in-one was 189 yards and hit a 7 iron, a bit of a breeze behind and all carry over water. Again to my jubilation, it went in for my fifth. I had been knocking it close all day with at least 5 shots within 2 yards of the flag, just couldn't putt. My buddy said maybe you should just knock it in, 2 holes later, i got my 5th hole-in-one, didn't have to put that one in. Ha.
May has been a good golf month for me.
