I decided to drive down 2 hours from Georgia to Daytona to play at the LPGA International course with a buddy. They were having a promotional hat and round combo day that I didn’t want to miss out on and the course is just so beautiful.
The particular hole that made this round the most memorable for me was the #6 hole of the Jones course, a 139 yard par 3. On my turn I stepped up to the tee box, aligned myself on the water hazard side, and let rip with my Titleist T200 9 iron.
My buddy called it while it was in the air, “that’s a hole-in-one!”
It landed about 7 feet right of the hole, kicked left and we watched it roll and disappear at the hole!
Never felt something like that for a golf shot before!
So happy it happened and so happy to have had a witness! Best feeling in golf.
