Was playing with my regular weekend skins group and got to Hole 7 at River Wilds Golf Club in Blair, Nebraska. Hole was playing 112yds, pin was in the front, and wind was into. Took my Vokey 45* Pitching Wedge and with a three-quarter swing struck it perfectly. My Titleist ProV1 hit into the slope behind the pin and began to come back down turning towards the pin. We couldn’t see the bottom of the cup due to a bunker lip that is in front of the green. A couple of comments were made that my shot could either be in or extremely tight to the pin. I didn’t think much of it because I am notorious for spinning it back to the front edge of the green. We got up to the green and only saw 3 balls and still not believing I had a chance, I grabbed my putter out of habit. While I did that and started towards the green, one of the guys in my group had walked over to the hole, then looked up at me and said it was in!!! I let out a loud yell, celebrating the accomplishment and went back to my cart to grab my phone to video my celebration. After that, I finished the round not having a clue how my score was looking or anything, only to find out I shot a -3, 69 for the round. Another personal best!! So it was Great Day on the course for sure!!!
