Played in the Sacramento City Championship at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex (Alister Mackenzie Course) this past weekend (june 7th-8th). I was not playing so great in my second round. 4 over thru 10 holes (6 over for the tournament. had to get something doing. Rolled in a nice birdie on the 210 yard par 3, 12th hole. Made a standard par on 13, and then the magic happened. #14, 183yards, front flag. First guy goes, hits his shot to about 6 feet or so. I step up to the tee, wind is slightly down on front right to left. I plulled 6 iron, smooth swing, struck nicely. Ball hits the front of the green, takes the slope, nails the flag and drops straight in. Been playing golf for 15 years and finally got it done, let alone in a tournament round. And to cap it off, the other guy hit it to like 2 feet right after me. We played the hole -4, (hole in one, birdie birdie.) Helped turn the round around and ended up at +1 for the day and +3 for tournament (T-33). But can say ill take the Hole In One as a consolation prize! ProV1 baby!
