  1. My first hole-in-one with Titleist equipment. A course just outside Lincoln, NE where my family lives (I’m from Nashville) called Crooked Creek. I was playing with my brother, who’s a +1 and I’m currently 2.7, but I was already having a great round. #15 is quite uphill and was playing a bit downwind, which is not helpful on that hole, because it slopes away and hard to the right and it’s very easy to go long, which is no good. I hit a very solid 8-iron (T-150) with a little cut. I thought I hit it way too hard and it was going to be long. My brother said, “that could be in the hole.” I thought he meant there was some death spot behind the green called The Hole that was impossible to get up-and-down from. But there it was in the cup! I’m guessing it hit that pin pretty hard. This was my third blind hole-in-one - I’ve never seen one go in. But I’m not complaining! This was the second one that my brother was there to witness. He’s a far better golfer than I am, he’s been playing longer, and he’s never had an ace. I guess winning his club championship three years in a row is probably some consolation! However, he did contribute to one. My mom got an ace when she was 7 months pregnant with him in 1970.
