Back when I was an Assistant Pro at Bardmoor CC in Largo Florida ( late 80's), I was doing a Junior clinic. It was first thing in the morning and I was takinag a group of about 10-12 Juniors out to play the final 4 holes. The first hole was a par 3 about 155 yards. All of the kids had hit and I decided to play the hole as well. Let me preface this with; This was going to be my first swing of the day and I didn't even take a pratice swing. I teed up my ball, pulled a 7 iron, put a good swing at it, well it hit right around the hole it made a couple bounces and then disappeared. One of the kids looks at me and asked "did it go in?" I responded with "I think so!". A few of the others said "It didn't go in". In fact it did go in and was my first and only Hole in One, so far. It was not an Official Hole in One, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.... Great Memory...
