Hole-in-One at the 2025 Cavie Cup – Hole 17, Lac La Belle

During this year’s Cavie Cup, I recorded my second hole-in-one on the iconic 17th hole at Lac La Belle. It was playing 169 yards, into a slight wind, and I pulled my 7-iron. I hit a little draw that held its line beautifully in the breeze.

From the tee, it looked good—but we couldn’t see the pin because of a bunker blocking our view. Luckily, a group on the next tee box had a perfect angle. One of them saw the shot in the air and said, “This looks really good.” They all turned to watch as the ball landed about three feet short of the pin, took one hop, and disappeared straight into the hole.

When those guys started sprinting toward the green, we knew something special had happened. The group behind us was on their green and heard the eruption of cheers—they came running over too. It was an incredible moment to share with 24 close friends, on a historic course, in the middle of one of the most fun weekends of the year.
