Finally, after years of near misses I got one. I was playing with a buddy behind a fire some that we we pushing all round. Finally on the 10th hole a 150 yrs down hill par 3. They had all hit when they let us play through. As we rushed to hit our shots we were happy to be getting the chance to move forward and speed up our round. I hit my shot and it was pure and one of the foresome said that is nice and it was as it headed straight at the pin in the middle of the green. I quick picked up my tee saw the ball land knowing it was going to be close and rush to my cart to get out the way and move on. As I got to the green there were 3 balls on and none of them were mine. Did it spin off I thought. After looking around a little I thought do I dare check the hole, ..why it’s never there. As I walked toward hole and peeked in.there it was my 1st hole in one and it only took me 35 years.
