Went on a Stay-And-Play golf trip to the Royal Ashburn Golf Club with my dad, uncle, and a few of their friends. My dad and I were on the tee for the shot, while my uncle and 3 of his friends were on the green went it rolled in. We saw them throwing there hands up in the air from the tee, but I had the feeling it was out of frustration and anger as that was the third time I had driven a green off the tee that weekend and, as we were always the second group off, I figured they were none too pleased to have another tee shot land near them. As we drove up I, hoping to make light of the situation, yelled “anyone see a ball come through here?!” To which, one of the group, the least serious person of the foursome I might add, said, with a dead tone, “it’s in the hole.” Not one to fall for an old timey joke, I began looking over the back of the green, only to be met with a number of people yelling, “no it’s in the hole!” Sure enough, I slowly peaked over and saw my ball curled up on the near side of the hole. 332 yards from the tee with driver and a ProV1x.
