Friday, September 6, 2025. Last hole of our 2nd 9-hole match of Kennett Square Golf and Country Cliub’s annual Member-Member tournament. I step up to the 11th hole - 145 yard par 3 and tee off after my partner knocks his tee shot to 4 feet. I say - ‘I might as well whiff this with you sitting there tight’. The greens were running 11-12 on the stimp meter and this particular green is sloped hard from back-to-front. I took an extra club and played my reliable cut shot just left and beyond the pin. Ball spins back down the hill for the next 3 or so seconds and disappears into the hole. My playing partners and I go nuts! Not a bad day to celebrate my ace than with 120 of my closest golf colleagues!
