I go on an annual golf trip to the Pinehurst area every December with my dad, brother, and a few friends. We have been making this trip for almost 15 years. Both my dad and brother have made a hole in one on this trip and I was waiting for my turn. It finally came on our 3rd round of the week. A short, 84 yard par 3, uphill to a hole location not visible from the tee. The ball went up and it was tracking nicely. I thought it was going to be just a few feet long right until our caddy started yelling from the green that it went in! At first I was in disbelief but then started sprinting up to the green to see my ball resting at the bottom of the cup! It did land just long right and spun slowly back toward the hole, finally falling into the hole on the very last rotation. Making a hole in one is always special, but this it is especially meaningful making one on this trip with close family and friends.
