Our local men’s league golf group takes an annual trip to Myrtle Beach, SC in the spring. Some of the guys in this group are aged 60+ and have been taking this trip for 39 years. I joined them for the first time in 2026. I’m a past high school golfer, played thousands of rounds in my life, but at 34 years old I had never hit a hole in one. On day 3 of this golf trip, in front of 12 witnesses from our group, I hit my first hole in one using a titleist pro v1x. Celebrations ensued, and I’m told this is the first hole in one to occur on the Myrtle Trip. It’s safe to say I’ll be returning with the group next year
