October 12th, 2025. Playing Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, Kansas on a windy day with my golf bro and some random single. We got to the 4th hole and the wind was whipping left to right at about 22mph. I told the guys i was going to try and let the wind push me back towards the pin and hit it to the left side about 4 yards off the green and hope the slope ofnthe green would help it roll towards the front pin. With the pin towards the front of the green i figured i had enough club to the 153 yard pin location. Using my AP2 - 8 iron i hit the ball on the line i wanted but the wind did almost nothing to the ball and i landed on the hill to the left of the green. It instantly jumped towards the hole and what seemed like forever and my lack of long distance vision the guys got excited to which i asked did that go in or stop in line behind the pin? I probably was a little underwhelmed that my shot didnt do what i was thinking and thus i didnt react like someone just got their first hole in one. We drove up to thenhole and sure enough it was in there. The other hilarious thing was me and my golf bro left our phones in the car by accident and we had to have the random single take the picture for us. I used one of my custom number "23" titleist pro v1 ball to achieve the feat. Glad. I can mark that off my to do list!
