There was a piece on some of the tasks done by volunteers. One was the hours at the driving range. Also mentioned the range was supplied with 7000 Pro-V1 and Pro-V1x balls. After the tournament they will be distributed to area youth programs.
The article implied the bags of 50 were filled only with Titleist balls. At the AMFAM 2 weeks earlier I know at least 2 other vendors have balls on the Seniors Tour. I was under the impression that FedEx Tour events offer multiple OEM balls. Does the USGA or the Senior Tour limit what is on the range?

Lots of history with Langer present and winning. Followed by the 2 Madison natives that still have homes in the area.

Yeah, I may never forgive Bernhard for this win. Here I am telling everyone I need to move up a set of tees and that my old age is causing my game to suffer and this guy is 11 months and 19 days older than me. :)

So, Dale, I will be 77 in September, ok if I move up and play with you. I already have pal, that ship sailed when I joined the Rascals after I retired. Who's counting. It is time to enjoy this crazy four lettered word they call golf. Bernard is my idol. Those with that German bloodline (Zirkle) just keep on ticking, just wish I had his game. Hakuna matata.

It’s a b$&@? at our age. At least Tom Watson talks about losing tools from his toolbox. He’s less than a year older than me. Alas, my toolbox was a lot smaller to start with.
  7. Fun week at SentryWorld. Sundays final round I scored with Bob Estes (-2) and Craig Barlow(-4), two of the lower rounds on the final day. Happy to see that both were playing Titleist balls, Estes, a ProV1x and Barlow, a Pro V1. Each signed a ball at the conclusion of the round. TEAM TITLEIST.

Volunteers are an important part of any PGA, Sr PGA, LPGA, US Amateur events. Thank you for your service.

Started doing them in 1991 Ryder Cup and my last was the 2013 US Women's Amateur Championships. Have worked them all that came thru the Charleston area. Time to let the young folks do their thing and have some fun also. Only do local one or two day charity events now; Hootie at Bulls Bay - Collegiate Invitational and Denny Hamlin/Mark Bryant Pro/Am Jam. It has been fun but logistically a long drive down to Kiawah Island to work four shifts for the events, and they charge between $220 and $300 plus tax to volunteer, with no chance to play any of the courses after the tournament. They did prior to the 2012 PGA Championships.

Congratulation Bernhard Langer. He will be 66 years old in a few months and is still an excellent golfer.
