Read an article on Fred Couples and his plans on what his bag will be at the next Masters. He now has an old man’s bag. Fairways and hybrids dominate with only irons for 7-P and 2 wedges.

I like to think he is copying my lead. Basically the same mix that I went to earlier this year. That he is 65 and I’m 74, maybe I should have done this earlier??

In any event, those of us at a certain age need to get fit and fit more often to get our best mix of clubs for where we are physically. Father Time wins eventually. Usually before we acknowledge it…

Father Time has taken its toll, now at 66 I have slowly dwindled down my long irons, 3-5, with hybrids. I remember when getting a 7 wood was a stretch but now my only fairway wood is a 3!!!

This may be true, but Freddy will still look warm and syrupy with those hybrids! What a swing he has!

Started to notice the big differences when I turned 76. All the aches and pains started aiding in my decline. Still carrying a five iron just not striking it as well. My set up D - 10.5, F - 15.0 F - 17.0 H - 20 5-W48 52 and 58 W
