    Does anyone know what the weight of the Pistolero grip is?  I've looked multiple places and cannot find the weight of the grip.  I'm thinking about changing out the grip on my Select Roundback to something slightly larger, but would like to keep the weight about the same as the Pistolero.

    Thanks,

    Barry

  2. Hi Barry,

    Chris,

    Thanks!  A lot of this info used to be on the Scotty website, but I guess it's difficult keeping it all current as the products and web page change.

    Thanks again,

    Barry

    Chris,

    Do you know the weight of the Matador Std/Mid?  A golf shop close to me has them in stock, but I'm wondering how much lighter they are compared to the Pistolero (the guy at the shop didn't know).

    Thanks,

    Barry

  5. Hi Barry,

    Here are the weights for the Matador line: Std 77 g, Mid 85 g, and Oversize 65 g.

    I thought that the color of the grip also impacts the grip weight. I know that with the Scotty Cameron SD grips varied in weight depending on the color.

    Here are the gram weights of a Pistolero depending on the grip color as all the grip lengths are the same.

    Red = 84.4

    Black = 79.8

    White = 86.1

    Orange = 87.5

    Purple = 87.4

    For every 5 grams of grip weight the swingweight changes by 1 in an inverse relationship.

    Forgot to mention and give credit to two really great guys, Don and Steve on TCC for compiling all the grip data I've posted.

    Kalambay,

    Black on black grip is rubber and still not sure about the blue & lime pistolero.

  14. Great info!

    Also, one additional point to consider if you are regripping a putter...the more weight you add to the grip the lighter the head of the putter will feel thus lowering the swingweight...many players prefer heavier swingweights/putter heads (hence why the 350gr headweight is so popular).

    JAT, Good Luck!

    Very good point Chris!

  16. Great info, thanks for posting it!

    Especially the weight variation about pistolero grips by color

    the matador grip weights don't vary by color, do they?
