Played in a scholarship benefit scramble yesterday with some of the usual suspects from our small band of players. Two gents had won Scotty putters in different raffles at one of the guys' home course over the past year. When the most recent winner discovered his stock head cover missing about 3 holes from the completion of the scramble he had that panicked look on his face. Thankfully the group behind us had picked it up on the previous hole. Knew it couldn't have been gone long since he's usually meticulous on tracking his gear and typically replaces the head cover after each hole. Anyway, happy ending for all as golfer reunited with head cover.

Always pick up and return any found items on the golf course! Karma can be a real mean one...
  4. I always put the cover back on my putter after completing the hole. Helps me stay on top of cover locations.

Anything I pick up on the course that is obviously owned by someone else goes straight to the starter or the pro-shop. I only hope that anything that drops off my golf bag gets the same treatment.

I once found a wallet about 10 yards right of the tee box (not a well traveled part of the course) , turned it into the pro-shop. They had a sticky w/the owners info, they called the owner before I could explain where I found it. Anyway, that made me feel a little bit better about myself. Played the lottery that day, lost, still felt good.
