  1. I received a new SC 5W for Christmas and I was trying to find if I can register it? I know that I have an etched serial number on the shaft, but I'm not sure where to register it at. Any help would be appreciated.

  2. You can register it on Titleist.com under your profile potentially however the serial number on the shaft is not a serial number and generally you do not register his putters. The only way to "register" his putters is to have them authenticated via the Custom Shop which costs some money. You also get a paper certificate when you authenticate by the way. FYI
  3. Thanks Chris. It's my first SC so I wasn't sure. I know it was purchased from a very reputable golf shop so I'm not worried
  4. That sounds great! Glad you asked the question, it is a very common one!
  5. I just purchased my first SC putter from and have the same question, I guess. So I can not really register it so if I have a problem and want to send the putter in for work or repair how does that work. Seems odd you can not register a new item

That doesn't make sense that the #'s on the shaft are not serial #'s and it's not considered registered if you do it on Titleist.com product registration when you buy it from a Titleist dealer the putter also has Titleist name on it not just Scotty Camerons name on it I don't think it's right you have to pay him $75 plus to say it's and authentic putter JMO.
  7. I’m no expert but I registered my new Scotty Cameron special select Newport 2 putter on the titleist website using the serial number on the shaft. When I entered the serial number and hit enter it came back as a Newport 2 putter at the correct length. There is a legal statement “Please be informed that registering a serial number does not confirm the authenticity of the product. The only way to be sure that the product is authentic, is to purchase your Titleist products from an authorized dealer. For a list of authorized retailers, please click on the Golf Shop Locator.” However it does give me the piece of mind that it recognized my putter based on the serial number and that it has been registered.
