I have been researching the Phantom 11 phantom and the 11 long. I continue to think 38" long Phantom would allow more practice and saving the back. Any advice!°

It's just a counter balanced putter. Don't see how it will help with any back issues you might have.
  3. While that may be true (albeit it will be much heavier), you could order a longer standard putter (36" or so...) put lighter weights in it and achieve a similar end goal IMHO.

    Cheers

I believe Fred Couples uses a broom handle putter because of his back. The 38 inch counter balanced 11 is designed to be held against your forearm so it won’t change your spine angle much. I don’t know if any specialty putter companies can tailor a putter other than a broom handle to keep you more erect

I'm with Chris, I have gamed both a regular phantom and a long design and while both are very good options, you will notice the increased weight overall from the LD as expected. Personally, I noticed the extra weight the most on longer putts where there was a longer stroke. If the extra weight of the LD is tolerable to you and provides the relief you seek, then the long design is a good option. However, if the weight is or could be of concern, then I would suggest as Chris did and order longer, standard weight putter and see how that works.

    Hope this helps.
