  1. Hi all,

Huge Scotty fan, had a few over the years and still got my blades. Tried a phantom 5.5 back in 2021 and couldn’t get along with it, but last year gelled with a Spider tour X L neck.

However I miss the feel of my scottys. Tried putting my blades back in and it’s just not gelling with me. What’s a similar putter to my current L neck for toe flow etc? I’ve been looking at Newport two plus, phantom 5.2 and the phantom 9.

Consider the GoLo 6 or 6.5 depending on toe flow you're looking for. I game the 6.0 and it absolutely changed my game.

The phantom 11 or 11.5 models from a couple years ago had a similiar overall profile id day.

It sounds like blade putters do not fit your swing.
The Phantom 5.5 is a mid mallet that is meant to feel like a blade. It has the toe hang of a plumbers neck blade.

I play blades with about 45° toe hang, like the Newport and most plumber neck blades. However when going to the Phantom X, the slant neck 5.5 fits me better as it is also about 45° toe hang. The plumber neck 5.2 has less toe hang and does not fit my swing at all.

The Phantom 5.2 is definitely something to look into as the TM has 21° toe hang which is very close if not the same as the 5.2. (Less than a 5.5 and Newport) The Phantom X 5 is face balanced so there's no toe hang.

The Phantom 11.5 would be the closest to the Spider as it has a similar large shape and .
