Living in Minnesota means that we're usually buried in white stuff for up to 5-6 months of the year. But this year has been unusually dry and snow free...until last week...we got a winter's worth of snow in the span of 7 days and just when my golf fever was hitting its peak! As soon as I get the idea in my head that we're going to get an early start to the season, Mother Nature steps in and says, "not so fast". I realize now that the snow is going to be good for our courses, but going from 0 to 3ft in a week is a little hard on the golf emotions! On Sunday as I was moving snow for the 3rd time, I wore my super cool Titleist fleece cap (old style) - spring can't come soon enough.

Last week we got hit with heavy rain, West Liberty about 20 miles south got hit with a tornado. Friday everything here was shut down because of the severe weather heading straight at us, it turned, we got rain, West Liberty got multiple tornadoes.

West Liberty is devastated, town is closed, no one in, only emergency management people. They are taking truck loads of bottled water and food. I don't think they are far enough along to know where to start or how to use volunteers(which they are not taking yet).

Yesterday we got hit with snow, the weather people like saying it was more than we had in the last 3 months.........the last 3 months we had maybe 3 inches total, I hadn't shoveled snow this year, until yesterday.

Today 53*, snow is almost all gone, tomorrow 67*.
