I have a 910 d2 driver. It has a plactic coating on the face, most of the bottom and sides. This coating has an "edge" as if it could be peeled off. The salesman at Edwin Watts says to remove it, but the titleist customer service says leave it in place. It seems to me the ball is never actually contacting the metal face of the club through this plastic layer. Do you have any knowledge about this issue or have you read anything about it. It seems to me I am losing possibly distance and control with a plastic coated face, even though titleist says leave it in place. Thanks----Mike
