I have been playing Titleist ever since they bough Golf Craft, I believe in 1968 or 1969. I had a great Golf Craft Drive, but, when the Titleist clubs came out, I got the Driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 2-PW and SW. I used a Bullseye putter and Titlest golf balls. I used to caddy for the Naval Academy golf Team, the number one player, T.R. Jones and he used Titleist balls. Growing up and caddying didn't make me much money back then, but I did gamble. That is where I got my competitiveness. I have used Titleist products ever since and I am Retired from the US Air Force, won a lot of tournaments around the world and have been with the PGA as a Club Pro (Instructor) for over 25 years. I have been on Titleist playing staff the last year, however, I do have a ball and glove deal with them. I don't use anything else. The new Pro V1x is a super ball, long and soft. I currently have the 913 driver D3, 15 degree 3 metal, and a 17 and 21 degree hybrid. The driver has a Matrix shaft, the 3 metal has a Pro Force V2, and my hybrids have Project X tour HD and are super. I have demoed the 915's and am waiting for after the Demo Day at the PGA Merchandise show to get the new product with the shafts that are good for me. I have two artificial hips and had to have a total hip revision on my right hip in June. That wiped out my 2014 tournament season. I just played a West Central Chapter PGA Pro Am at Avila in Tampa, FL (I am in the North Florida PGA Section) and the greens were about 12 on the stimpmeter and it is a very hard course. I missed about 6 birdied putts inside 3 to 5 feet, had a double bogey on a par 5, no birdies and still shot 79, coming in 6th place in the Senior Division, the team missed the money by a shot. My new Titlest clubs will give me another 20 yards at least, especially with my new wheel. I had to improvise a lot and my swing speed went way down, now it is improving. In 2013, I won our Chapter Senior Championship, shot 70, 67 for the qualifying for the Sr Professional National Championship and finished second, one shot behind the winner. That was without never playing the course before. I currently have AP2's, 910/s and I am looking at the new AP1 for more forgiveness. At 62, I need all the help I can get. I just received my new Vokey Wedges, nickel, and they are super. I had them put the KBS Wedge High Rev shaft in them. Also, I love KBS shafts, I have the Tour version in my AP2's now, but, I will go with the Tour V. It is a little liter. All in all, I am so pleased with Titleist and this 45 year relationship with them has been great. I highly recommend Titleist to all my students and anyone else.
