    Good Afternoon:

Twenty-five (25) years ago, my wife/son purchased a new set of Titleist Tour Model persimmon woods (1, 3, and 5), Titleist Tour Model forged irons (2-PW), and a Titleist golf bag for me for fathers day.  I only used them for a few years (after each golf outing the clubs were cleaned and polished).  I am now getting back into golf, and would like to purchase a "more forgiving' set of clubs.  The set of clubs (woods, irons, and bag) is in perfect/immaculate shape.  Can the clubs be traded-in for a new set?  Or, would I be better off selling them outright?  If sold, what is the best way to do that?

    Thanks,

    John

john, you are better off selling them on ebay.  you would be lucky to get 45 dollars for them in trade!!  that is all the golf stores are giving in trade for older clubs.  pga .com valve guide will show you what a store will give you. i think to someone who is looking for a quality  used forged  club, he would pay at least 125 to 200 bucks for the irons. i'd say if you don't get that amount, set on them a while and talk to people at the course you play you'll find someone.
