I finally purchased a (almost) full set of Titleist clubs TS2 driver, TS2 3W, 818H1 hybrids (3h & 4H) & 718 AP1 irons. I have played Vokey wedges for the past several years and love the ProV1x balls. Really looking forward to spring 2019. It’s going to be a long winter in the Midwest.

  2. Well done Sean. I still remember my first Titleist clubs a long way back. Anyone remember AC 108's? Still have the 2 iron head on my desk. At least 40 years old.

Nice purchase. TUser I remember the Acushnet 108's. It was my very first set of clubs that I bought with money I got from working for my Dad. I was not feeling old when I got up this morning, but now I am! I wish I still had those old beauties.
  4. Me too... but the good news is we both woke up this morning!

DCI 990's still have um and probably won't get rid of them ever.

Great set. I just got the 718ap1 my self. Went from 714ap1. I'm sure you will love them like I do

Good luck with the new clubs
  12. My first set of Titleist clubs were a set of 690MB blades which I think I was custom fit for in 2005.

I still take them out occasionally in the summer but you realise how forgiving my current 716CB's are compared. Anything other than a perfect strike the ball goes nowhere.

However when you hit the 690MB out of the middle there is no sweeter strike.

Congratulations. I'm sure you'll enjoy them. I hope your winter is a short one this year! My first Titleists were a set of DTRs that my father bought me when I finished grad school. He wasn't a golfer so he had to ask around for recommendations. He was in for quite an education, as woods were no longer made of lumber, and a full set no longer included irons and woods in one box, purchased together. I loved those clubs (they were recently stolen when I relocated.)

    Sweet setup
  15. Way to go. My first Titleist set was the DCI set and persimmon Woods. Then moved up to the 909 Woods and hybrids.
