One 18 degree wood has chips of paint missing after only 2 rounds of golf. How do you re-spray the black head?

You would need a sandblasting box setup and some experience in taping up the club and re-painting it. Otherwise you can prob send it back to Titleist and have it redone.

Well, it would be much like painting a car. There is alot of prep work that would go into it. Most importantly you would need to find the matching paint color and primer that titleist uses. Then you would need to sand the area where the chips are, feathering lightly into the good surrounding paint. Then clean the area(s) thoroughly with an acetone or other high vapor pressure chemical. Then tape every thing that you would not want painted...this would be about everything outside of a 1/8 to 1/2 inch border around the sanded area. Then you are now going to apply the primer base coat...let dry...sand with fine grit sand paper, repeat process once to twice. Then you are going to clean the area again with a cleaner and tack cloth. THen you would spray the color coat..let dry...sand with at least 1000 grit sand paper, repeat this process once. Then you would clean the area again with a cleaner a tack cloth. Then you would spray the clear coat, let dry...then wet sand with a 1500 grit sand paper, clean and repeat process. Once all spraying has completed, remove your tape and apply a very small amount of rubbing compound, rub out the areas you sprayed feathering out to the unsprayed areas. Once a good shine has come out, you would take a high speed buffing wheel and some polishing compound to finish it off to bring out the show room shine it had when it was new!
This is alot of work as you can tell. There is also some technique and finess involved. That being said, weigh out wheather it is worth the work doing it your self or paying someone that knows this process already. If youre a doityourselfer then go for it. It will cost about the same though either choice you make! Good luck!

I have a minor clearcoat bubbling issue on a 909 d2 driver. I contacted Titleist and was emailed instructions to take to an Authorized Titleist dealer and
have them send back to Titleist. As long as the club was not misused or abused they will replace it. Only thing is, if you like the look, set up and feel, sometimes a replacement is different.
