If you were watching the final round of The Genesis Invitational this past Sunday, you'll remember the unforgettable wedge shot that Brand Ambassador Max Homa hit on the first hole of the sudden death playoff to ultimately save his par.

So we thought it would be fun to catch up with the now two-time PGA Tour Champion this morning ahead of the WGC-Workday Championship to hear his thought process behind the shot and watch the escape artist in action. Give it a watch and let us know how you would play the shot in the comments below.

    Good luck this week, Max!

Tremendous shot, but under the "Hey folks, don't try this at home" category, for sure.

Cool content, and well done! Congratulations to Max on his win, it was fun to watch!

He's too humble! Getting the weight just right so it stayed on the putting surface? That really took amazing touch. Congratulations, Max!

That was a very impressive shot. More so that he kept his composure on the next shots as well. I admit that I was pulling for Finau but Homa earned this one to be sure.

Thanks Emily, and I agree with Rick, really tough shot and under the pressure that I am sure he was feeling, it was an amazing shot. Congratulations to Max for the victory and for representing Team Titleist.

Phenomenal shot under the most crucial of circumstances.

I'm always amazed at how well the professionals are able to get up and down from the oddest lies. It takes confidence and imagination to execute those shots. Of course as a casual TV viewer, we mainly see the leaders and periodically that amazing shot from someone not on the leaderboard. Regardless, Max's shot was completed under the most challenging circumstances and he did it. Congratulations!

That was an absolute phenomenal shot from Max! We tried to recreate it yesterday on the course and it went horribly wrong, none of us could pull it off. But had fun trying to do it, that’s the best part of golf is just having fun!

Such concentration and follow thru to complete that shot was amazing and as he envisioned it. Hope to see more great things from Max.

Let's be real, I would have come away with a nice new ding on my Vokey wedge and left the tree with a little hash mark and the ball would have advanced 8 feet into the deep stuff! That's why he's a pro and I'm a 9.5 handicap! Well done Max, shots like that define greatness on the golf course, not letting yourself get down that you have such a horrible lie. Well done!

He makes it look so easy....I probably would have hit the tree.
  15. Very cool, thanks for sharing. It's one thing to pull that off in a practice round, but the steady hands with the tournament on the line is impressive.

    Congrats, Max!

Great creativity to even try it under those circumstances. Way to go Max! #TeamTitleist
