  1. After my round yesterday at Brookwater (Brisbane, Australia) i've decided to start collecting balls from different courses i've played (Good or Bad) and thought "what else do people collect" as memories or just a hobby... Golf related.

    So, what do you collect?

I collect balls from all my hole in ones. In 40 years of golf, my collection has grown to........one!!!

I wouldn't consider it collecting but I do like to buy unique ball markers from different courses. If you ever visit the Streamsong Resort in Florida, IMO they have the best collection of unique ball markers.

Select balls (four hole in one balls and select courses), select ball markers/coins from foreign countries, plus pencils because they are free. And as my wife puts it, the dust that the holders collect for my collections. She is not laughing. Lanyards from events that I have volunteered for over the years plus the volunteer badges. And a few masters badges from years ago. I have 143 golf balls on my wall now, of courses from all over the world and some that have been autographed from LPGA/SRPGA/PGA events.

I too collect golf balls but generally from notable courses or any time I play a new state for the first time. I also collect anything Titleist. I also like anything that is a golf antique to put in my golffice.

I would say that I'm not a "collector" but do seem to pick up a ball marker from most of the courses that I have played or organizations I am associated with. If I am playing a bucket list course I always try to pick up an extra scorecard. Don't know if I'll ever display any of this but it nice to look at the scorecard and remember which holes I lost a ball on LOL.

When I traveled I would collect golf balls from where I visited (kind of like how people collect shot glasses). I have a golf ball from Sweden, Italy, Manchester United (soccer game), Chealsea (visited the stadium in London) as well as other places.

If the course sells yardage books I grab one. Always try to get a blank scorecard also. Fun to look back at the course and if the opportunity presents itself to play the course again I have something to look at to familiarize myself with the course. I also try to buy any Team Titleist or Scotty Cameron merchandise I see.

I grab a ball marker with the course logo on it from each place I play. They're small enough to carry in my bag and depending on the mood, put into play for that days round.

Whenever I go to an elite course I collect a ball marker, flag, and divot tool. Have quite the collection nowadays.

If I play a high rated course I will purchase a bag tag if available.
  13. If it is somewhere special, or that i dont think i will play again i normally buy a ball, marker or something

In addition to all of the above collected items, I'll keep tees with the club/course markings, especially if the logo/mark looks somewhat unique.

Logo balls and Flags! In the last year I've really gotten into collecting old golf clubs. Especially anything Titleist or Acushnet branded from the 60's and 70's.

I really like collecting logo balls. Nothing in particular, but some things that just catch my eye. Found one yesterday that had a taco logo on it and a while back one with Alabama logo in Texas! It’s fun finding random logos out there!

I started to “collect” balls that have a logo. Anything from a business logo, to a golf course logo. I now have upwards to a 1000 balls that I don’t display and close to 500 of my “favorites” set on a display hung on the wall. I’ve been told it’s getting to be an issue by someone…. lol

The picture link is no longer available except on the initial post. Photo files are too big and take up too much space on the forum database and slow the system down. Use the Facebook TT group to post pictures.

If it is a notable course or if I'm invited to a country club, I have been buying the course logo polo. Nice talking point if I am partnered with someone and they notice the course on my polo.
