So I was playing around this weekend with my brother and was paired up with a single that came all the way from Denver, Colorado to visit where he went to school here in Connecticut, great guy. It was a little bit bit busy at the course so we had to wait on the tee box on the back 9. He told us about “snake”. It is a game where you use your driver, and hit from one tee marker to the next in a putting stroke. You rotate turns, and the goal is to touch the first team marker, then the other, then eventually you become the snake and have to hit the other people balls to eliminate them. It was a lot of fun and pass the time. Just thought I’d share to see if any of you have games to keep each other busy instead of stewing an anger that the group is taking too long or give you option to pass the time. Interested to hear what others do.

I have a yo-yo in my bag. It's light and doesn't occupy much space. If I'm waiting on a tee box, I'll take it out and do some tricks to pass the time.

Wow, I remember playing this as a kid in Western NY on tee boxes. We called it "Knock-Out" but the rules sound identical. Thanks for the flashback and I will certianly bring this back into my life. It's a great time killer and keeps people off their phones.

Sounds interesting. If I get bored waiting on the tee, I get out my Orange Whip to stay loosened up and ready to go when the fairway is clear. Our's moves along pretty well. We tee off at 8am M/W/F so most are at work when we play and do not go near the course on the weekends. Our course is ranked #19 Muni in the U.S. by Golf.com and everyone visiting Charleston has to play it. Had 70,000 rounds last year. Will exceed that this year. Our grounds crews do an outstanding job maintaining the course. Greens are awesome. Golf magazine paid us a visit this morning and teed off before our Rascals group of 32.
