To celebrate the 1-year anniversary of David Thompson’s first PGA TOUR victory at the 2024 John Deere Classic, we’re giving away 10 limited-edition commemorative bobbleheads.

These were only made available to a small group, and we’ve set aside a few just for Team Titleist.

    How to enter:

We’ll randomly select 10 Team Titleist members from the replies to receive a bobblehead.

Entry deadline: Sunday, July 8, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET

Winners will be notified by email and noted in this thread after the sweepstakes closes.

    SWEEPSTAKES RULES:

On Monday, July 9th, 2025 we will randomly select ten (10) winners from all approved entries (thread replies) submitted before Wednesday, June 15th, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT.

    • Only one entry per person. If you send in multiple votes, you'll be disqualified from the contest.
    • No purchase necessary. View complete rules here: http://www.titleist.com/company/Community-Policy.aspx#sweepstakes.
    • US Only (We would love to offer this globally, but our legal rules don't comply with various countries' rules and regulations.)

Consistency and honesty are what this young man is all about on the links. I really admire him, for recently calling a penalty on himself for a movement of his ball that no one else saw or acknowledged. That is a true Brand Ambassador.

As of March 2025, Russell and his family resided again in our area choosing Kiawah Island in South Carolina, a resort which famously has the Ocean Course, one of the hardest golf courses in the US. It has played host to a Ryder Cup, two PGA Championships, and a Team Titleist Invitational. His wife, Teil Duncan, is a well-known painter based out of Charleston. Played as a member at his home course in his early career at Prestigious Country Club of Charleston. It's history of golf in Charleston dates back to 1739, when a documented shipment of golf clubs arrived from Scotland. History begins for the Country Club of Charleston in 1786—just 32 years after the founding of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club in St. Andrews, Scotland—a “Golf Club” was founded in the city. Scottish merchants known as the Charlestown Golfing Society would meet on Harleston Green where a game called golf was played. The predecessor clubs to the Country Club of Charleston took shape in 1900, along the Cooper River, before then relocating down river to Belvidere Plantation the following year. By 1922, the Club had acquired its present location on the McLeod Plantation consisting of 900 acres on the Ashley River. The land planning for the property was conducted by the Olmsted Bros. landscape designed firm, which recommended Seth Raynor to the club. Mr. Raynor also completed Yeaman’s Hall in 1925. He completed many other renowned courses including Fisher’s Island, Yale, Camargo, Sleepy Hollow and Monterey Peninsula.

Russell proposed to his wife on the Pitt Street bridge in Mt Pleasant, where I live, which has one of the most scenic views of the harbor in our area. He has history in the lowcountry of S Carolina. I follow and pull for him when he hits the links. Even though he hails from our neighbor state, Georgia, we feel he is one of our own.
