Father’s Day is coming up and I’m remembering my Dad, my first golf partner. He’s the sharp dresser in red. Let’s from y’all about playing golf with your Father.

I always wished my dad would have played golf. Got him to ride in the cart with me one time when we were in Florida. He tried to hit it a couple times and figured it out it wasn't as easy as it looked on TV. His favorite excuse was that he wasn't old enough yet to play golf. Haha

My father didn't play golf, so I can't share any golfing memories with him. My father-in-law did play golf, and I have him to thank for introducing the game to his daughter (my wife). I played many rounds with him, and I will always remember his very unique swing. His practice swing was near perfect and then when he actually went to hit his golf ball...his swing decided to do something different; it was always gave us a good laugh.

If it wasn't for him, I don't know if I would have taken up the game since it was his daughter who got me hooked (literally and figuratively )

My father got me into golf back in the early 80's as a young child. He and his group of friends would play every Sunday at 7:00am (before the first offical tee-time) and us kids (my brother and two cousins) would all play in the group behind them. After a few years, we became skilled enough where we would play a game in our own foursome as well as being paired with one of the Dad's for a team game.
I look back now and cherish it all. I wouldn't be the player I am today without these Sundays and will always recall these Sundays with great fondness! Love you, Dad!
