  1. Hello all, just looking to get some advice on the Team Titleist events. I played golf for years and I stopped playing in 2015 due to multiple back surgeries. The past 2-3 months I started playing again and have dove deep into the Titleist brand again. I got a full fitting with my local fitter and picked up t250s, gts2 driver and woods and gt2 hybrid and of course a Scotty. Obviously I had to go full titleist gear as well ;). Since I’m just getting back into golf I don’t consider myself good, shooting in the mid 90s. Is it too soon for me to be playing in the Team Titleist events? I don’t really care what I shoot im just out to have a good time and meet people who enjoy the same brand as me. I’m not sure what is expected or what to expect at these events of a player at my skill level. Thanks for the info.

  2. From what I was told it’s all skill levels. Just go and have fun that’s what it’s all about

Definitely come to some events. I do as many as I can. I’m currently a 15 handicap, down from my low as a 9 as Father Time keeps chipping away at my game. Most events are not super competitive, players series being the ones that are the most, and even those use handicaps to track gross and net scores. Other events are more social than competitive and are a great way to get to know other TT members and/or see old TT friends. We have TT members that carry handicaps in the high 20’s all the way down to scratch, young, old, men and women. Some of my best golf memories have been TT events over the last several years. Come join us! Hope to see you soon.

Score is not important in TT events. Sure we all want to play well but it's more about the fun and connections created or continued.

Yes, there are events on the calendar where score matters but most of them are all for the good times. Come out and see for yourself.

At 76 I’m fighting Father Time. I may not be competitive for the competition events, but I still enjoy the folks at the events. There are some really good golfers at these events, if winning is a primary goal. Titleist and I are happy to see me at these events at 19th hole.

Shooting consistently in the 90's isn't horrible...bogey golf is a good place to start if you have been away for a long time. As others have mentioned, TT events are open to everyone and if you come with a mindset of enjoying the company and venue, you'll have a great time. Also, the TT crew actively works at finding venues that are unique and special, so you might find some courses will be "bucket list" worthy.
