That’s exactly what we found at Blackburn Golf Academy, where we hosted our second Team Titleist Academy alongside Mark Blackburn and his incredible team.
From the moment everyone arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just another golf event, it was a fully immersive experience designed to help each player better understand their game and walk away with a real plan for improvement.
Day 1: Building the Foundation
We kicked things off by getting back to the fundamentals. Team Titleist Members rotated through focused sessions on putting (including AimPoint green reading), short game, and distance wedge control.
The highlight of the day, without question, was the one-on-one time with Mark Blackburn. Every attendee walked away with a personalized coaching plan tailored to their swing and tendencies, something they can continue to build on long after the event.
Day 2: Performance Under Pressure
Day two shifted gears a bit and focused on performance and how to take what you’ve learned and actually execute.
We were joined by Bhrett McCabe, who led a session on the mental side of the game. It was a powerful reminder that playing your best isn’t just about mechanics, it’s about how you think, focus, and respond under pressure.
From there, we moved into full swing and driver work, continuing to refine each player’s motion with the help of Blackburn’s team.
We also layered in a full Titleist fitting experience. Members worked with a Vokey wedge specialist to get fit into the new Vokey SM11 wedges, and each person received a custom wedge as part of the experience. On top of that, everyone went through a golf ball fitting to make sure they were optimized from tee to green.
Day 3: Practice with Purpose
By day three, the focus shifted to something we don’t talk about enough: how to actually practice.
With personalized plans in hand, members spent time working through structured drills and intentional reps, learning how to make their practice time more effective moving forward. It wasn’t just about hitting balls, it was about building habits that lead to real improvement.
