Actual Tour Staff bags to the public

    Why is the retail bag different than the actual Tour Staff Bag?

    After talking to a few of the Titleist Staff players on the PGA and Champions tour, a few of them thought they were the same, but not so.  The competition offers the same bag as the tour players use, why not Titleist.  I have been trying to talk my local PGA club pro out of the one he has sitting, buried in the corner of his office but since it is full of shafts and clubs I'm not having much luck.

    Anyone have any ideas how to get the real thing?

    Yeah you can get on one of the tours. What is different about them?

    The S82 and S83 bags are different than the tour bags.  The actual tour bags front panel comes off and on the S892/S83 they do not.  Also the tour bag is better made and more durable....

    If you by, the actual front panel comes off, mean that the apparel pocket in the front has several openings and the zipper around the pocket goes all the way around, then it is the exact same thing as on the s82. I have the s82, and without any exaggeration, I seriously love this bag!!! You have space enough for MORE than the clothes you could ever imagine that you would need, and there's still room for more!

    You won't be disappointed in this bag! I know I wasn't! ;).

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for the question. I just wanted to follow-up on your post. The only difference between the Tour bags and the bags sold through our authorized retailers is the removable apparel pocket face (the pocket on the front of the bag). This is done to allow us to logo the panels and send out replacements to players, if necessary.  

    Besides the pocket, the staff bags that you see out on tour and the ones available for purchase are identical in construction and materials.

    Hi Mike

     

    I got my new 2012 Tour bag yesterday. I am actually really chuffed with it. Subtely different to the previous model, but different enough to be quite a noticeable improvement in the looks department anyhow. Good job, well done!

    Could you post a picture of your new staff bag?  What size tops are available on the 2012?

    Hi

     

    I believe the top sizes are the same as last years S83-9.5 inch, and S82-10.5 inch. I will try to post a pic of mine yes.
