The physics clearly does not hold true on the golf course. Beginning with the Womens US Open on ESPN2 and continuing with the Open Championship on ESPN, sound travels faster than light, you hear the swoosh before the downswing begins, you hear the thump of a club hitting the ground when the clubhead is only half way down.

Simply amazing how physics inverts itself on the golf course. I guess thats why to fix a problem you do the opposite of what logic would tell you.

That is one of the many reasons why I do not like ESPN's coverage of the golf events. Their commentators and their insight, in my humble opinion, just doesn't match Golf Channel's or ABC's handling of the Golf Tournaments.

Don't tell me you think "that's some serious loft for a Friday" was just downright stupid.

And of course you believe that better players thump the sand then yank the club back........if it is said then it must be true, but for some reason I have always heard that one the opposite way.
