Anyone have experiences with the GC Am Tour? Starting to get that competition itch again and would like to see how well my game travels. Thanks.

  2. I am currently on the AMtour now. This is my first year of being on it and I enjoy it a lot. Its fun to be in the competition setting and the tour directors do a great job of having everything set up and organized. Plus I think the biggest thing to take from it is the courses that we play and not to mention the comradery. What tour would be playing on?

It's a lot of fun, I played on it for 3 years and had the opportunity to play some courses I never would have been able to play. I did take last year off but will probably play again this year. The competition is great and the tournaments are very well run. The one drawback is that some of the events can get to be a bit pricey, and you do have to be willing to travel a bit to take advantage of some of the better events.

Thanks for the comments. If I play, it will be on the Dallas/Ft. Worth and Oklahoma tours.
  5. I have also been looking into playing on the Ohio Am tour. We added a member to our family this year so it wasn't in the cards but am looking to play regularly next season. Any TT members play in the Ohio area? I'd love to hear some feedback.

I have played on the GC Am Tour off and on for a few years now. Great experience all around, from the courses to the directors to everyone competing in these events. Looking forward to this year and playing in even more events.

I've never played competitively but have the itch to enter a few tournaments. For those that have played on this AM tour, would this be a good intro to competitive golf?
