There are many courses in the area. Carolina National is close by but I would recommend heading south a few miles to the Sunset Beach area where a plethora of options exist. Thistle, The Pearl, Oyster Bay and Sea Trail are all nice resort course options. Explore some of the reviews on Golf Advisor or another site and find what fits your druthers. Great area for golf. Have a great trip.

Thanks for the recommendations! I looked into The Pearl and Oyster Bay so those are definitely on the list!

You are going to have to drive a bit to play as there is no course on island. Lockwood Folly is the closest and it is fine. Oak Island is a 45 min drive and that course is nothing special but is a fun layout and the greens are usually in good shape.

Carolina National is a bit closer but has had some issues with their greens in last couple of months.

Heading in the other direction is Rivers Edge which is pretty nice. Ocean Ridge has three or four courses and a couple are usually in pretty good shape. There are lots of courses as you head south toward Myrtle. Tidewater is a great track with a glacial pace of play which they seem to pride themselves on.
