    Good morning TT lovers !

This morning I played 9 holes of golf at my club around 6:30am.

Reason I played so early was because I wanted to see the difference in both the pro v1 & Pro v1x. So was playing 2 balls as course was quite.

Here’s come the mind games haha…

Off the tee I was longer with the X but then found my self with distance issues into the Green ? Hitting the same irons I would normally with the yardage given but was coming up short by 10/15 yards.

Then I hit the pro v1 off the tee and was probably 10/12 yards shorter, finding myself hitting longer irons into the green.

Maybe what I’m asking is anyone how the same issues or have I just got to find a middle ground, and have to sacrifice one for the other ?

I love the feel of both balls and don’t wanna change away from the Pro V range

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Happy golfing everyone.

Do you think your approach shots were shorter because they were coming in at a higher trajectory? If so, adjusting for that distance and keeping the height might be a good thing if you play soft, parkland courses. If you play more windy open links style courses, maybe keeping the ProV1 will be best for you.

  4. Thanks for the report Simon, sounds interesting! I recently got to ball plant 3 in USA and after talking a long time to the guys there they persuaded me into getting a couple of fresh boxes of Titleist Pro V1 x when i usually play the PRO V1. Looking forward to trying them. I fear im probably not good enough to see the difference!

Haven't noticed the same thing Simon. i have used the v1x for years but now find I prefer the v1 and only notice minimal differences.
