  1. I’ve recently gone to the black AP3 irons - 48 degree thru the 4iron - same specs as I’ve had for a while w/ 1” added and 2degree upright with AMT S300. But I have never changed the specs on my Vokey wedges - 54 and 58 degree SM6. My wedges are probably the best part of my game. If i go to the SM7 should i add the same custom specs? If so, will extenders be used? Or will a custom shaft be used. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Most pros will say use the same/similar shaft in your wedges. To your point, I finally got myself fit for wedges a few months ago. Our club pro put me in the same shaft and flex as my AP1s that I was fitted for earlier in the year.

My SM7s were ported though to get the swing weight more in line with my irons. Mine are 1" extra and 1 degree upright with Project X 6.5 shafts. It's been a bit of an adjustment, because I've never had properly fit wedges before.
  3. If you order these through Titleist no extenders are ever used only the raw shaft at time of production will be cut at the desired length using the raw shaft.
  4. Here is what Bob Vokey has always told me:

    1. on your mostly full swing wedges keep the same shaft and flex as your regular irons (however this is subject to personal preference)

    2. On any wedge that is partial to full swing use one flex less and keep the same shaft model

    3. Now as far as length and lie angle you need to evaluate this via a fitting. Yet, most will keep same lie angle and length adjustments as your regular irons.

    Hope this helps!
