Years ago, I arranged an iron fitting at Titleist's Accushnet facility on Manchester Lane when I was living in New England. Previously, I have had fittings from a number of sources including, but not limited to, Club Champion, local golf pro, etc. Without a doubt, the Titleist fitting was fantastic, professional, and very focused. I've enjoyed the T200's with customized shafts ever since. But the big pleasant surprise occurred when the fitter said, "well we have some time, do you have any other questions?" I said: "I'm moving to Florida, with the different weather, courses, and grass, how do my wedges stack up? He took a look at my wedges and for the next hour, he took me through testing different wedges, grinds, lies, different bunkers, grasses, etc at the wedge range. we concluded that I needed a different sand wedge, but the rest were fine. Absolutely BEST hour I've ever spent for fitting my clubs to me, helping me understand how to use the wedges for the typical courses and geography where I would be playing. It's a great experience and I learned a lot. Yes, now I am chipping in at least once per round and chipping to inside 8' most of the time that I pick up a wedge. Thanks Titleist!
