The Greenbrier was established to collect the sulphur waters that people have been using since 1778 for their restorative properties. The Springhouse is a white-columned, green-domed structure from which these waters are drawn. The Springhouse serves as the resort's symbol, as seen this week in the unique Greenbrier tee markers.
