How to Elevate Bunker Shots
57 secIn this video, Titleist staff member Michael Breed faces just such a shot. His ball is lying very close to the front edge of a six-foot, sod-faced bunker. With a few adjustments to your setup and how you deliver... the ball into the sand, you'll hit high-launching, soft-landing bunker shots just like Michael.
Keys to Elevating Bunker Shots:
• Take a wide stance and get low with your knees.
• Lower the handle as you address the ball.
• Assume a weak grip on your wedge and open the clubface during the backswing.
• Swing as hard as you can, with your path moving left (for a right-handed golfer) as the club exits the sand.
