Junior Sponsorship

Hi. I'm a 13 year old Junior Golfer here in SC. I was playing with a kid in a high school match the other day that said he had a junior sponsorship with Titleist. I'd like to know how to obtain such a sponsorship or if there is a such thing and what I would receive with a sponsorship. I already play all Titleist clubs with a 910 d3 driver, 910 f fairway wood, MB irons, Vokey Wedges, and a Circa 62 putter. I'd love to be sponsored by the best brand in all of golf!

Michael,

Junior sponsorships would be great!  Being a junior golfer, it could save quite a bit of money that could be used to work on and fine tune your game.  Being sponsored Titleist would be great!

Thanks,

Ben

My 10 year old son had a Titleist Sponsorship...but it all gets charged to my credit card. good luck, Jerry

I would agree, I am also  teen. I think though before I ask for a sponsor  I need to work on my putting game. However I would also like to know how you can obtain a sponsorship, because my friend shot a 39 on the Country Club I play on. He has never played ther before, and I think that says a lot.

Yeah I am a teen also, that would be very cool! However I think that it will take a lot of work to get the sponsorship though.

Thank you for your interest in receiving product sponsorship from Titleist.

With the equipment rule being deleted from the rules of golf, juniors can now receive equipment directly from golf manufacturers. Much like many of the professional sports teams where they have a salary cap, we as a golf manufacturer have a spending cap which limits us in the number of players who we can touch with free product. To maintain open-ended fairness in the targeting of players for free product we currently review their position on the GolfWeek Junior Rankings as well as the National Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings and make our decisions based on this data.

If you feel that you fall into this category we would encourage you to forward us a playing resume summarizing your competitive golf career to date for our review. To those players who are not highly placed on one of the above rankings we will monitor their progress with hopes of working with them at some point in the future. Please mail your resume to:

We do receive many requests for sponsorship and we will contact you if your playing resume qualified for potential sponsorship.  Thank you for your interest in Acushnet and keep playing and working at your game!

about what rank do you have to be to get a sponsor ship

How many tournaments do have to play in to show you have met the standards and how many wins and how low do have to shoot to meet them?
Hi Cathi, i read your response with interest. My son is 14 and pretty talented. He plays internationally (in Europe) already and he loves all Titleist products. Are there also Sponsoring-possibilities for German Juniors? Who would be the contact for me in Germany/Europe? Kind regards Sjut Mattner

I have forwarded your question to Acushnet Europe and they have said that the procedure is the same as in the US.  Please send your son's playing resume to our Tour department in the US.

is there an email address i could send my resume to for a junior golf sponsorship?

Im 14 and i consistently shoot 70's, is that even good enough for a sponsorship? The best international tournament finish i have i came in 4th out of 30. How good is titliest looking for? also like kevin said is there a email adress we can send our resume to?

Im 16 and shoot consistently in the the 70's and have been putting up some scores in the 60's lately. i love the titleist brand and am looking for some aid because my family doesn't have that much money, but i love the game of golf and hope to make a career out of it someday

We don't have a direct email for the Tour department, but do have a fax if you wish to fax the information:  (508) 979 3916

Please send your name and contact information, playing resume (last current year of tournaments, name of tournament, date, field size, final position) and upcoming schedule of events.

Also, if you have a ranking on GolfWeek Junior Ranking, Polo Ranking or the National Golf Scoreboard, please send that as well.

Dear Cathi,I read this reply with interest and I have been following this discussion on the AJGA Tour with curiosity! A year ago one of the parents told me about product support they were receiving and told me how easy it was.I was given a name of your office, I called it and I was informed that for boys you have to be ranked 50 or better on golfweek and girls 25 or better. I forgot all about it because the players who receive products are outside of those numbers for the most part so I knew there must be another variable that I did not know. Now it is another end of the summer and I am amazed at the amount of girls on product support many of them are not in the top 50 so that got me thinking again what does it really take to be on product support? I heard coming in the top 3 helps well both my children have done that in AJGA, won TJGT, qualified for USGA tournaments and made cuts!!!! Junior World. I am just curious.Thank you
